Valamar Collection Arba Resort 4* is a newly opened family resort located in the greenest part with the largest forest area of the island of Rab, on the Kalifront peninsula. For the Arba Resort, we created a brand strategy based on which we also produced original artworks in collaboration with selected Croatian artists. This also marks the launch of Fabulart, a unique concept of creating original art that visually depicts a motif from the brand strategy in cooperation with renowned Croatian artists.
We also developed the internal and external signage, communication materials within the hotel and hospitality venues, interactive content for the kids club, as well as the interior and exterior design of the kids club. The foundation of the Arba Resort branding is the island’s four sculpted faces - sand, sea, forest, and rock.

Diversity breaks life’s monotony and nourishes tired minds, filling the soul with a wealth of experiences. Rab is an island of great geological contrasts. Nature has shaped specific forms, making the entire island resemble a mosaic with four distinct faces that captivate all the senses. The incredible variety of landscapes entertains with its playfulness, from the emerald sea and sandy beaches of Lopar, to rugged Kamenjak and forest-covered Kalifront.
Rab is special because people have always improved it with their diligence and progressive thinking. As early as the 1st century BC Rab became a Roman Municipality, and in 10 BC the Emperor Octavian Augustus granted Rab the right to erect walls and towers. At that time, Rab had running water, baths, theaters, well-organized city streets, temples and monuments. The freed slave Gaj Recijel Leon built the Rab’s waterworks and a nymphaeum (luxurious fountain). The Romans gave the city the official name, Felix Arba two thousand years ago.
Here, residents and visitors alike eagerly seek rejuvenation from Rab’s rich landscape and living waters. The joy of Rab’s traditions are found in the production of cheese, wool, olive oil, silk and shipbuilding. Rab engages and inspires with its unique wonders, such as sheep that climb olive trees, the shipbuilders of Pičuljan, the 17th century scientist de Dominis (who theorized how rainbows work), an island of honey and silk, the 14th century saltworks, and picturesque Romanesque bell towers.
The island’s flourishing becomes the flourishing of every visitor. It fills us with happiness because our senses are infused by the diverse nature. The sandy coast of Lopar, the cliffs of Kamenjak, and the dense forests of Kalifront enrich our minds with special memories. Enter the forest of Kalifront, breathe in its scent, absorb the color of the sea, and hear the sea in the forest. Felix Arba makes a promise to each visitor: you will feel happier and enriched because everything here is unique. Feel the joy on Felix Island.
For the first time in the world, Fabular has created original art for the Arba Resort based on the brand strategy. In collaboration with academic artists Miran Šabić and Ana Sladetić Šabić, we selected Croatian academic artists who produced original works for the Arba Resort. Painters, sculptors, and photographers were chosen to develop these artworks.
The works include pieces by Miran Šabić, Ana Sladetić Šabić, Lorena Almaši, Mihael Lukšić, Natalia Borčić Peuc, Sanja Jureško, Krešimir Katušić, Mak Melcher, Diana Trohar, Marko Dajak, and Petar Popović.
Art inspires the creation of unique experiences at Arba Resort. The works were carefully created and selected to evoke the brand concept of Arba Resort, which we named "The Four Faces of Rab."

Maro World is part of the resort dedicated to families with children up to 12 years old. Spanning 1,500 m², it offers a variety of educational and entertaining content designed to introduce children to the story of the four faces of the island of Rab, its flora and fauna, as well as interesting facts from Rab’s history and traditions. For the Maro Kids Club, we created interactive content and designed wallpapers that communicate the destination's stories. The interactive 3D walls in the Maro Club are made of wooden panels, allowing children to listen to the sound of waves, explore the scent of pine trees, and discover interactive elements to find Maro and his friends.
We also created the visual identity for Bike Center Rab, located near the Arba Resort. Bike Center Rab offers a wide selection of electric and mechanical bikes, children's bikes, as well as additional equipment such as helmets, child seats, and kids trailers. Bike Center Rab guides visitors in exploring Capo Fronte and the Dundo Forest through two themed trails. The beautiful wooded paths feature a range of engaging interactive attractions that we developed based on local destination stories.

For the resort, we developed a wide range of communication materials, including breakfast buffet signs, menus, a brochure featuring local family farms, a book of destination stories, designed activity suggestion cards for guests, interactive wallpapers for rooms showcasing Rab’s landscapes, and specially designed pillowcases. For children, we created books with magnets of forest animals and Rab’s flora, as well as puzzles that encourage them to discover the beauty of Capo Fronte. Each floor of the resort is inspired by one of the four faces of Rab, represented through wallpapers in the hallways and pictograms on the room doors.
We created the names for the bars and restaurants within the resort. Mendoro is the lobby bar, with a name inspired by almonds, the key ingredient of the Rab cake and many local desserts. The name is a blend of the words mendula (almond) and oro (gold). Felixar and Arbello are the names of the pool bars within the Arba Resort. Felixar combines the Latin felix (happy, rich) and Arba (Rab), referring to the “happy island” and the joy that enriches us on Rab. Arbello merges the Latin Arba (Rab) and bellus (beautiful), symbolizing the island’s stunning nature shaped by the four sculpted faces. The Emerald restaurant celebrates the island’s diverse nature through local specialties, with a name inspired by the emerald shores of Rab. The name of the Arba 772 restaurant is inspired by the oldest olive tree on the island, planted in the year 772.
